Today we had another meeting and we discussed about starting little by little to open the space and show and share our work. The first attempt would be to do an 'Open House' evening, and the dates suggested were the 12th or the 18th May. It would be great to define a date ASAP so we can start inviting people around. This evening would be an opportunity to let people know the space exists and to learn a bit about the work we are doing. So it would be up to you how you would like to present yourself (doing something live, hanging something on the walls, projecting a video - Noyale has a projector, by the way - etc). If you can't be present in any of those dates you may think about a way to be present, that is, leave some work people can check out.
We also went back to the subject of having a common collaborative area where we could hang things, write notes and somehow create something together that is part of the experience of being in this space. We decided we would use wall in the green room as a space for that. I will also hang a rope so we can hang things and create some sort of 'open archive'. Then we can start sharing our thoughts in a more creative way.
And as I'm talking about green room, we decided the floor in the green room should be green. So I will be painting the floor sometime from next week. If you could please let me know when you are not going to be around it would be great as we need the paint to dry out. Alternatively, if we could have a copy of the key for the other door it would be great. That means we can avoid the green room for a day or two.
Finally, I've updated the WEDNESDAYS (Nicole & Antonio slots) on google calendar until the 11th May. So there is some free space in the afternoon. The dates after the 11th are still TBC but I'll keep you posted.
That's it for now. Noyale, please add something else if you think I forgot...
Happy Easter everyone and I'll see you soon!
Nicole
